Does my body hurt? Yup. Does my right glute feel like there’s a knot in it? Yup. I still showed up though! That’s the difference maker, even when you don’t want to show up, there’s a million other things on your mind, excuses to put your well-being aside, SHOW UP. Pushing through the hard things in life helps shift your mindset from the negative to the positive. Has this been the week from hell for me in my person life? Yup. I STILL SHOWED UP. Continue to push through this thing called life. There’s always ups and downs, but we have the choice to shift our minds.
How are you doing with your new year goals for better health and wellness? 😊
Hopefully you are gaining ground! If you are struggling and wanting to give up...DON'T! It's never easy to break bad habits and create new ones! And baby steps are way more sustainable. 😉
We are all in the trenches with you. You are worth it! Your health is worth it! You have an awesome future ahead of you and you want to be healthy to enjoy it, right?! 🤔
Just focus on one day at a time, and PLEASE don't look at someone else's journey and compare! Comparison is the thief of joy. 🙅
Celebrate today's little successes and remember, we all get a fresh start tomorrow! ❤
Tonight I made a Spicy Vegan Pad Thai... it smelled so darn good cooking and was so full of flavor! My husband and oldest son had several helpings which made me happy! .
~Spicy Vegan Pad Thai~
Spicy Tofu Crumbles
1 pound extra-firm tofu, sliced 1/2″ thick
1 tablespoon peanut butter
3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free version)
1-2 tablespoons Sriracha (or other hot sauce/paste)
2 tablespoons plain rice vinegar
2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
8 ounces brown rice noodles (or rice noodles)
2 teaspoons oil, divided (I used coconut oil)
1 red pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 white onion, thinly sliced
2 carrots, thinly sliced
1 Thai chili, finely chopped
1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
1/2 cup cilantro, finely chopped
Spicy Pad Thai Sauce:
3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free version)
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon Sriracha (or other spicy sauce, less if you don’t want as much heat)
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons vegetable broth
1 teaspoon garlic-chili paste
2 garlic cloves, minced
Place the uncooked noodles in a bowl of cold water to soak. Make the Tofu: Arrange slices in a single layer on a paper towel lined plate and cover with a few more paper towels. Press down firmly on tofu with your hands to get rid of any excess liquid. Heat a large non-stick or cast-iron pan over medium heat. Add the tofu, in a single layer, and cook, turning once until lightly browned on each side, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from stove and finely chop. Whisk together the ingredients for the tofu crumbles. Pour over the tofu crumbles and let marinate while you prepare the rest of the ingredients. Whisk together the ingredients for the Pad Thai sauce and set aside. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat and add 1 teaspoon of oil. Add in the vegetables and cook until just tender, about 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a dish and set aside. ~Continued in comments~
First off I only own pink💖, green💚, or black 🖤 clothes so don’t judge my feed lol. Also prepare yourself for this super sappy and hopefully inspirational caption.
I spent last year limiting and doubting myself. 🛑 I was in a horrible situation at work and it had a really negative impact on my life. I removed myself from that environment and I vowed that in 2019 I would open myself to positivity. Once I left I stopped putting myself down and comparing myself, I started eating better 🥦, I started hitting the gym again 💪🏻, I started actually going outside and taking in my surroundings🌳. I remembered that I am a 100% #girlboss 💁🏼♀️ and have endless capabilities.
Fast forward to today. I’m surrounded by support, I get to create content freely (link in bio), and I feel good about myself when I wake up everyday. ☀️ •
I started my career today. 💼 I woke up super early (5 hours before my start time). I took my time getting ready. I left an hour early even though it only takes me about 25 minutes to get to work. I got the perfect iced coffee (I hate eating breakfast in the morning so I usually just have a coffee til noon). No delays on the 7 😱, I even got a seat. I walked through Bryant Park and watched people ice skate⛸ . I made sure was able to enjoy the entire “first day” experience. 🎈 •
I haven’t been to the gym in a few days but I have been tracking my food so I still lost about 4lbs⬇️. •
Im proud of the progress I’ve made in all aspects of my life. I’m doing my best to create memories I feel proud of. When I said 2019 was my year, I was not kidding! #whatsnext 🚗?🏡?✈️?

hello babes💕so I’m currently writing this post laying in bed where I’ve been for the past 2 days after getting my wisdom teeth out🤒🙃. I’m not gonna lie, not thriving at the current moment. I’ve eaten like 💩 the past 2 days. I’ve had such odd cravings after coming off of a pretty bad week and then getting teeth pulled & just wacky cravings after my surgery. And don’t get me started on how much I miss the gym and my active lifestyle. It’s okay though. I need the rest and my body definitely needs it as well lol. BUT I still wanted to give you all a good post tonight. So. I’m gonna be getting a little preachy so I’m sorry in advance haha... but when things in your life get #rough surround yourself with good people & keep your head up. After coming off of a pretty bad week I honestly have learned a lot about myself and how I handle a heart break. Where I am sitting today I can honestly say after having a reflection on my life and who is in it. How strong you can be even after something or someone has hurt you. To stand up and fight for your happiness in life. I am honestly so happy & grateful for what happened to me honestly. Because it kinda lit a fire inside me. My best friend said to me not to long ago “you’re finally awake” and that’s how I feel. Like I’ve finally opened my eyes for the first time and seen all the beautiful things my life has now and all the beautiful things it could be. My friends, family, fitness-family, community, and so much more is everything I’ve ever wanted and it all keeps growing. I can feel my heart becoming bigger and stronger. My love is growing with it. I am so blessed to have the life that I do. To have the passions that I have. The gifts I get to share with the world. I’m so glad I get to share my gifts with all of you. I have never seen my life this way before. I feel so radiant and happy... and this is all because something broke my heart?! Like what?! Life is so weird and can bring things to light in ways we don’t understand. Wow. But I want you all to learn from this too. That if someone or something has hurt you. Look at it as an opportunity to see all the beautiful things you have in your life. I love you all so much💕✨
Don't be satisfied at your success now
Don't stop upgrading yourself
