“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the single candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.
Those who seek Enlightenment must be careful of each of their steps. No matter how high one’s aspiration may be, it must be attained step by step. The steps of the path to Enlightenment must be taken in our everyday life.” The Teaching of Buddha

Who else is coming to paradise...?
Imagine taking a week out for yourself, relaxing on a tropical island and learning how to calm your monkey-mind so you can really let go of the stress and worries.
Imagine sinking into the deepest dimension of bliss with me personally guiding you through my dynamic yoga and meditation classes.
Each day on the retreat you'll eat super healthy food, wake up to breathtaking sunsets, meet cool positive people and drink plenty of fresh coconuts :-)
Plus I'll take you to get blessed by a Buddhist monk, you'll indulge in deeply relaxing Thai massages and at the end of the retreat as a bonus we'll jump in a traditional longtail boat and head off to secluded island so you can snorkel with the tropical fish and really discover yourself on the beach. 🧘♀️
After my retreat, your mind will feel sharper, less stressed and more focused. Your body will feel stronger, more flexible and energised. 🌱
You will go home with a daily practice that will change your life and your family. This is not a holiday, this is a vacation for your soul! 🙏
And dare I say it, you will feel connected to something bigger and deeper within you and it will never leave you if you keep nurturing it. 😉
My retreats are simple, they focus on creating Optimal Health so you feel high on life and wake up with a genuine excitement and buzz for living. 🇹🇭
We'll focus on 4 key areas to ignite your spark:
* Mental Health: reduce stress and anxious thoughts * Emotional Health: let go of your past baggage * Psychical Health: get stronger and ignite more energy * Spiritual Health: discover your essence and find inner peace
Personally, I believe life is such a gift. It's a celebration and I would love to share this energy with you #yogaretreat@brettmoran_#thailand

There’s a misconception that you must keep your mind as still as possible while participating in a yoga class, but actually all you have to do is turn your awareness inward and listen to and feel the body. Thoughts WILL surface, and sometimes images, memories, sensations, emotions... because we have impressions stored within our being. Shining our awareness on and breathing into these stored energies, or tensions, will then allow us to finally process and release them. In doing so we become clearer, our energy lighter, and as a natural byproduct our mind become more still. Every experience in life must be digested and eliminated properly, both physically and subtly. When we are unable to do that in the moment because the experience is too overwhelming, traumatic, or we just aren’t aware enough, these energies get stored and influence us on physical and subtle levels. Chronic diseases start on the more subtle level first, then manifest over time in the body/mind if not processed and released. But while everyone wants to be healed, we often avoid it because it involves looking into ourselves on a deep level and experiencing the initial wounds once again. We as humans are conditioned to avoid pain. It takes tremendous courage to move in the direction of healing. But the decision is solely in your hand.
Q: What do you do when you are grieving the death of a loved one?
A: Do yoga. Breathe yoga. Simply BECOME YOGA.
Pfft. Yeah fucking right. While some people find yoga in hard times, it has not been the case for me. It feels like a chore that I just want to whinge about. That's a first for me.
Although my own practice hasn't been doing great, on the plus side I have found teaching yoga brings me a lot of joy. Teaching is a different practice in itself, with its own share of techniques to master. I'm excited to see how this teaching journey will unfold!

sutra 2:30-2:31: YAMAS
The yamas are the “retraints” of yoga, suggestions for behavior in your interactions with others, or outward practices. The yamas include:
Some interpreters of the Yoga Sūtras say that the true and highest yogi will keep their great vow by being fully committed to it in every level and at all times. However, human beings have many layers. We can only work on those layers of ourselves that we are aware of. So for most of us, let us keep up our practices (whatever you do that helps you be more mindful) so that we can work layer by layer, practicing kindness with ourselves and others, being honest with ourselves and others, being as balanced as we can, and being fair in every situation we find ourselves in.
This sūtra tells us that life is relativistic. It is presenting the grey in between the black and white thinking of ‘rights’ and ‘wrongs’ we tend to fall into. Lets make a vow to be the best human being we can be at all times! 🙏

🥳🗓🤸🏽♀️ Day 2️⃣0️⃣ of #AYearOfYoga2019 with @cyogalife ➡️ #Chakorasana 🤸🏽♀️🗓🥳
Was 2018 the year where your hips unlocked enough to do this? Will 2019 be it? Let’s #keeppracticing and find out! This asana combines a deep #hipopener and strong upper body/core in one, not to mention some hamstring flexibility and a big fold at the flexors. Most people find difficult the first part of the pose, aka placing the leg behind the head, and they’re stuck there for a long time, years even (I was too). What you think and what kind of emotions run through your body, influences the outcome of a pose, big time. For instance, if right before pressing into Handstand, all you think about is how ‘weak’ you are, how you’re ‘never going to do it’, you’ll have killed any chance of accomplishing it. Replace those thoughts with something like ‘I have to pull the navel in more, lift the hips, activate the legs a ton!’, THAT is more helpful as body and mind are working together towards the same goal. And the mind, we all know, is freaking powerful.... Now, for this one, warm up those hips then sit down or, even better, lie on the back: climb one leg over its shoulder, bend it, making a diamond-shape position. Point kneecap out, heel towards head or opposite shoulder. ‘Lean’ on the head of the femur, like one of those pole vault jumpers, so you push on it, then slide lower leg over/around the head until the outer shin can rest on the back of the neck. It is a #process and takes time, but it’s totally doable! Once that part is done, planting the hands down and lifting the other leg into this #armbalance is relatively easy (though pulling the leg to the chest requires quite the hip flexion). Swing hips through the arms, as far forward as they can go and you’ll have it! Comment below how it goes and give #ayearofyoga2019 to develop further... your turn!

Life is a ride. Things change, people change, but you will always be YOU; so stay true to yourself and never sacrifice who you are for anyone or anything. You have to dare to be yourself, in this moment, however frightening or strange that self may prove to be. It’s about realizing that even on your weakest days you get a little bit stronger, if you’re willing to learn. Nurture your self-worth. Sometimes the hardest part of the journey is simply believing you’re worthy of the trip. And you are! You are worth it. Tattoo that right onto your brain… Seriously! The world starts to respond when you believe that about yourself. It doesn’t always look like you thought it would, but positive shifts begin to take place when you start to recognize and acknowledge your own self-worth. So watch your thoughts and stop any self-deprecating thoughts from discouraging you. Remind yourself more often, that you are strong, you are capable of handling just anything. Let go of all that hurts you. Let go off all that brings you down. Letting go is not giving up. Letting go is surrendering any obsessive attachment to particular people, outcomes and situations. Surrender means showing up every day in your life with the intention to be your best self, and to do the best you know how, without expecting life to go a certain way. Have goals, have dreams, aspire and take purposeful action and build great relationships, but detach from what life must look like. Surrender brings inner peace and joy, and lest we forget that our outer lives are a reflection of our inner state of being. ✨🌈👁📿🕉🔱🌷⌛️🌀🔆🐍💀🍃🌙🌸🗿🐚🔔🌈🙏🏻✨ Love, light & Peace ~ Hari Om Tat Sat ~ Om Namah Shivaya
