Here's the photo reference then swipe to see the progress so far. Still needs work, but its getting close. Animals are not my preferred subject. My Mom had her favorite cat pass this summer. I'm painting a picture of Mums for my Mom for her birthday. The snow this weekend will help keep me indoors.
Mums was a barn cat. Like all our barn cats we spay and neuter them. When she was done healing after getting spayed we released her and she disappeared for about three months. She returned to us completely emaciated. After that she decided to come inside one day and never leave. She had no desire to go near the door. I guess she figured there was food and warm beds beds inside. She had a blind eye that after some time she stopped caring if we approached her on that side. She loved to be brushed or petted at all time. She turned out to be such a wonderful pet.
I’m back again c:
I haven’t really drawn anything in the last 14 days 0.0
Btw, I forgot to mention this in the other 2 posts (gonna go edit it now) this drawing is inspired by @fetching_tigerss‘s picture (on second slide)
I referenced the proportions, but I’m kind of doing my own thing with the coloring (even though it’s inspired by their picture too)
Loving this shot from @wiphair , the very talented Frankie asked me to get involved with the art concept for her new hair salon. Really like the 1980s chairs and the whole brick wall look. There is a beauty room too, Sakina is fantastic and offers a range of treatments to make you feel reborn! #wip#hairsalon#corporateart
