How to put on weight
1. Weigh yourself, drink water, scale reading went up. You put on weight. .
If you’re missing my point here, it’s that a scale shouldn’t have anything to do with a healthy lifestyle, fitness or fat loss. Losing weight isn’t what you’re after, you want to lose fat. .
Do yourself a favor and forget about the numbers on the scale, if you need numbers to go by rather look at body fat percentages, and body measurements. If you’re not all about the numbers swallow that pride and snap some before and after pictures. That will give you a much better idea of where you’re heading.

DO eat a high protein 🥚 healthy fat 🥑and veggie 🥦breakfast to get that metabolism started right.
DON’T go to the party hungry by “saving” your calories for the party.

DO offer to bring a healthy dish 🥗 at least you will be certain there is one thing you can enjoy

We all know we need to create a deficit in our calories if we want to see weight loss. Here are 5 tips to help cut a few calories and put you a pound closer to your goals.
1- Eats lots of protein. Roughly 1 gram per pound of bodyweight. This is a great starting place when trying to figure out how much to consume. Protein is a thermogenic macro, meaning it cost energy to break it down. We can not store excess amounts of protein, like fats and carbohydrates. Also, because it takes a little more to breakdown, you will notice a suppression in appetite.
2- Cheat days are great to have. They can give you a small chance to indulge in foods you have not had in a few days or week. Going three days of good eating does not mean you can have a cheat day. Having frequent cheat days can decrease the gap in your deficit. Lastly, instead of a cheat day consider a cheat meal. WE DO NOT NEED A DAY OF BINGING!
3- Avoid starving yourself for the sake of over indulging or going on a binge eating frenzy when you do decide to eat.
4- When you go out and do not know what to eat, go for a salad. Are salads the greatest? Maybe not but are you the ideal you that you want to be? Sometimes a sacrifice needs to be made.
5- Alcohol is empty calories and adds up very quick. Be mindful when going out to drink and set a limit on how many drinks you can have. Another alternative is before each glass of alcohol, you have to drink 8 ounces of water. This does not mean you can not drink but like cheat days this needs to have a limit.

I’m terrible at regurgitating information, so I highly suggest you go listen to the episode. One thing stood out to me though; James said when people say “I want to run a 5k” etc, what they really mean is “I want to be a runner; the type of person who runs” (not an actual quote, but something similar). In time, with small habits, you can become the person you want to be or the person you feel like you are already are. All that is to say, I hope my friend gets a lot from this book and I can’t wait to read it! #atomichabits

•SYN FREE HASH BROWN FINGERS AND DIPPY EGGS•
• Mash a small tin of potatos (I’m too lazy to boil fresh, no time for that)
• A small diced onion
• An Egg
• 2 TBSP fat free cottage cheese
• Italian herbs • Spray with fryljght and put them in any mould and bake on 200 until firm and crispy

I've been wanting to get back in the gym but when my alarm goes off at 345am I turn it off and roll back over. I’ve been so bummed out recently. I know it’s the holidays and I should be more cheerful but wow, life’s really getting me down. 😕
I strive to do my best and be my best with everything I do. There’s been a bunch of falling outs recently and I can’t help but feel this overwhelming sense of pressure and disappointment in myself. Each day, I’m feeling so mentally exhausted. I can feel the stress taking over my body. I’m trying to take it easy and step back..but it’s so hard when it’s something you’re so passionate about. I struggle to let others down, which involves me working nonstop trying to find better solutions. I know I’ll be okay. I just need to get past this rough patch.

Was going thru my closet this evening and stumbled upon this sweater. It immediately brought me back to the day I bought it. I was in the dressing room at Nordstrom’s, close to 400lbs and wanted to just give up. I was so defeated, so tired and so very ashamed.... why I decided to take a picture in that moment, I’ll never know 🤷🏽♀️ But I’m so so glad I did! Every time I see that pic on the left, it reminds me why I’m working hard to be my best self. It reminds me of a dark place I never will allow myself to go back to and why I need to do the work, even when I truly do not want to. It inspires me to continue on this journey and to continue doing the next right thing. This new lifestyle isn’t always easy and I mess up regularly but even my worst day now is better than my best day then. Life is beautiful and I am grateful ❤️ #transformationtuesday
