Ok one more Blue Heron shot (for now.) The colors and water texture are too good on this one.

Nightmares and Daydreams :: CO
Look! A pretty picture! It’s really just to get your attention, though. Lol I have a question. What is your go-to news source? (Reputable sources, any political leanings accepted)
If you’re friends with me long enough, you know I think echo chambers are dangerous. Therefore, I try to listen to different sides of any given situation because as the saying goes, “There are three sides to any story...his, yours and the truth.” .
Today I read an article about how social media algorithms, which are meant to grow revenue (and to that effect, your addiction to social media), intentionally create an echo chamber around you by sorting out content that either has a moderate message (it’s easier to hook you with strong emotional content), or doesn’t fall in line with your interests.
In turn, the author believes that it is adding to the cultural/social/political divide we are seeing in this country. Furthermore, I’ve noticed in my own life that it’s sometimes hard to find alternate informed viewpoints (despite refusing to customize my news app, for example). I firmly believe that in order to make informed/sound decisions and compromises (looking at you, White House and Congress), it’s imperative that we not be surrounded solely by people parroting and reinforcing our ideas. So to that end, my goal is to start following more news outlets so I can be a more responsible and informed citizen. (I encourage y’all to do the same!) Add your go-to news source in the comments please!
A great big thank you to Kevin O’Malley and @jdroto9 for their input /naming help on this shot. Another huge thank you to @shawn.farrell.crahan for being a spectacular road trip partner in Colorado (even though he napped through this shot.) The photo feels like an analogy for our current state of affairs. There is chaos on the ground (thanks to wind blowing through the flower-y foreground plants), as a stark contrast to the well defined, organized night sky.
