Zoo Labs alumni to the rescue!
Our mixing desk was in need of cleaning. ZL alumni volunteered to dust and clean 1400+ knobs and 1100+ buttons in one day! This kept the studio’s downtime to a minimum, prevented delays in programming and allowed more time for alumni to create. Thank you @brittctann@kvnmccann@geoffreygeoffrey@patrickaguirre_ for donating your time and energy to improving ZL.
Hope that this process brought more understanding of the tools that help you make your art. We’re always happy to impart studio knowledge in addition to our regular programming of business skills and strategies.
What should we do next? Would you be interested in a cable fixing party? We could teach the basics of soldering, fix a bunch of cables to add to the studio and as a byproduct, you wouldn’t have to spend money on new cables when they break in the future. What do you think? 🎶 by @bradkdollar
Here’s a one hour time lapse video it did of a simple painting I did earlier this morning. Never recorded myself paint before so it’s really cool for me to see my painting process on film and to see what I need to improve on. Knowledge is power

Here’s how I threw those bowls I posted yesterday. ☝️Throwing off the hump is my favorite thing to do right now. It’s a challenge for me making small things and throwing off the hump has never come easy for me. Right now I’m finding some success so I’m rolling with it! Small things are fun cause I can make so many at a time! Very rewarding 🙏😄 I’ll share my carving process later. 😉 I’ve got my serious scrunch face on. Full concentration mode
Tandem throwing is hard!! Luckily @tcpottery and I make a super team!
Here’s a little recap #timelapse of one of the SIX projects that We completed in Sunday’s #challengeaccepted on IG LIVE. It was super fun our hour allotment flew by! Thanks to everyone who joined us and participated from afar. We will be away this Sunday but will resume our Evening broadcast on the 27th.
While watching this video, 🔊 sound up because the funky beat is just right. Keep in mind that TC and I started the process using each of our dominant hands until @waveactionmedia caught on and made us switch. We did most of the pulling and all of the shaping work with two non dominant hands and never cheated! You may also notice that my unused hand is hanging out in mid-air for part of the video... apparently it still needed to go through the motions.
We’d love to hear your challenges. I’ll post our running list in our story shortly! Comment or DM to add to our list!
If you missed our GIVEAWAY post yesterday, hop back to @kinnakeetclay to check that out. It’s super easy to enter. Hint: if you comment on this video, that’s an entry!
