Lots of love and luck, always ❤️ #tambramwedding#RoAr
One of the rituals is the 'Kannika Dhaanam' which literally means giving away your young girl. Here, the bride sits in her father's lap and the rituals are performed.

Tamil-Brahmin weddings have tons of unique rituals that you would not get to witness otherwise. One of them being this one where balls of red & yellow rice are used to clean the couple's feet in order to cast off the evil eyes!
That is me, trying to crack a lame joke to make this one laugh. I told her that it is absolutely unbelievable that she is getting married, to which, she replied “now you know how I felt at your wedding.” From late night tea breaks to drinking coffee at her wedding, life has moved forward so much, but this one has just moved from one office block to another. Needless to say we have both tolerated each other’s theatrics, I wish @apps_a89 a lot of happiness and good fortune. And to her partner, Surya, a lot of prayer and strength, to handle this mental girl. 😘
@the_fello_ship, my amazing wife and even better photographer pushed me to get a photo because I was extremely lost and shocked (for reasons explained above) to come up with that idea myself. She makes me look real nice.
@ravinewatia27, this post is to make you feel jealous. Jokes apart, missed you at the wedding dude.
And a full-fledged Tambram neighbour 's daughter's wedding, more importantly meal happened. I inaugurated the lunch service!!! PLEASE NOTE, I have NOT wasted the food. 👉👉👉👉
The last time I had food on a banana leaf was almost a year and a half back during the Sadaabhishekam celebrations of my parents, after dad turned 80. The food was much better then, I have to say, with all humility. That was also caterered food like this one.
Being a host on that occasion meant running around like crazy, loving what was happening but not able to enjoy in a sense, and yet pleasurable. I know that's confusing but absolutely true!.
