"There is no better than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbeat, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time." - Malcolm X
This is such a great quote and so very true.
No matter what hardships or stuggles we're going through in life, we will all persevere and come out the other side with new experiences and new understandings, not only about that situation, but about life and ourselves too.

"When I woke up" -myself😌.
I've been broken
Broken down into mature
Burned into desperation
Mislead down the wrong road
Confused on what way to go.
I've been hurt
Hurt by physical insecurities
Ignored by immaturities
Bruised by laying hands upon
Changed by people that needed nothing to do with me.
I've been mournful
Mournful that everyone I love is slipping away
Hopeful that some day I'll wake up on the right side of the bed
Wordless that someone has taken my air to speak
And so Dependent that I've forgotten what it's like to be on my own.
But today when I woke up...
I was gentle
I was kind
I was patient.
Gentle enough to hold someone close
Kind enough to talk to the person I hate most
Patient enough to let life take its course.
I was energetic
I was poetic
I was smiling.
Energetic enough to run from what I fear most
Poetic enough to write one real poem in two months
Smiling enough to where I almost forgot what pained me the most.
