Unbelievable to get this message from client of ours @evanomahony . Evan tore his ACL last year playing soccer and had to have ACL reconstruction. Evan came to us for his rehab and has been working with our S&C coach @ryanhogan_fitness for the past few months. Ryan and Evan came up with a specific rehab plan while working with Evans Physio and Surgeon to make sure every area was covered. Check ups took place to ensure we were on the right track and Evan was ready to return to sport. The sessions were tough, it’s never easy coming back from such an injury but credit to Evan. He listened, he trusted me, took on board what I said and gave me 100% in each session.
“I went back training tonight.. took it easy, no tackles or 50/50s or that but got through the full session (hour and a half) ball work and all 👌 Fitness left lot to be desired alright felt like getting sick but It was the best feeling I’ve ever had being back but worst feeling at the same time 🤮😂 but other than that went really well! Thanks a million for everything again the sports specific training was fantastic, otherwise I wouldn’t have had a notion how to build the muscles back up around the Knee👍 I definitely would recommend you to anyone who’s recovering from an injury or just wants to improve in their area of sport 👌 thanks again!
Round 2 of physio. Acupuncture, massage, cupping and tape (that's not tape on my butt crack it's "censored"). More excerices to do, I'm able to start leg pressing again. Realistically it'll be June before I can start normal programming again (squat, deadlift). Easy to get down about it all, but need to focus on building stability and strength in the right places. Work on what I can rather than what I can't do.

Have you ever listened to your parents instructions or rules, then disobeyed them? How did that turn out for you? Now on the other hand how did things turn out when you obeyed their instructions? Usually a much better outcome.
For merely listening to the law doesn't make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in His sight. - (Romans 2:13)
We can all sit in church and hear God's Word, however just listening will not change our lives, it wont make a difference. It is when we apply Gods Word and do what it says that our lives begin to change. Going to church is not about walking out and feeling good. It is about putting your knowledge into use and being a New Creation in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17) this is what makes us right in His eyes.
How can you put into practice what God is teaching you lately? Simply by obeying and doing it!

High Defecit deads this morning to strengthen the lower back.
Defecit deadlifts allow you to pull from a lower position on the shin and thus put more demand on the spinal erectors to get #jacked. A longer range of motion also helps with hypertrophy. 4x8 this morning to kick things off 🌶
Next up some 3x20 good mornings for development of hamstrings, booty and lower back. The key to this is to hinge, brace your abs pray to Satan you don't die 👹
Finally a sneaky set of ab wheels to help keep the lifts solid and supported. The core has two main functions; anti flexion and anti rotation. The ab wheel is a great anti flexion movement to help build a core that will be stable enough to support heavy lifting (mainly squats, deads and overhead press). A stronger core can also help prevent injury as your lower back has less work to do to compensate for your pathetic abdominal muscles 🎂
For ab wheels make sure you don't curve your lower back. Pull your ribcage down to your hips and tense your abs and roll the wheel under control out as far as you can without any flexion in the spine (remember it's an anti flexion movement). 🦄

#ThrowbackThursday with a message. ❤️ These pictures were taken this month, a few years ago. It was the scariest month of my life. I hid so much of my pain from my friends & family; even from my bestie who planned this day trip to the Lion Park.
Growing up, I’ve always been scared of animals but on this day I wanted to touch every cat I could hoping that it would make me feel braver and stronger.
The lion is a symbol of strength & courage. Whenever we see these awesome creatures, we are reminded of the raw power and limitless potential that we all share.
I look at these pictures now & you can’t tell how heavy my heart was, I was so good at smiling through pain, but I really did become stronger that day.
The truth is you don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride, and nothing is guaranteed but you are strong, courageous & full of power. Remember that.✌🏼 #ThrivingThursday

Another long day but I started it at the gym this morning. I want to say thank you, Jay @jayvartanian@totalfitnesscolorado for being the absolutely best trainer and friend-for being so supportive but strong and pushing me. I can’t say I jump out of bed in the morning without still thinking of a thousand excuses of why I shouldn’t go-but the thought of letting you down or myself is not an option. And shout out to my sister who sent me the tank photo-so me!

So hey, block pulls were exciting tonight. Worked my way up to a top single at 335lbs!
1st vid is 315, 2nd is 335lbs.
I ramped on the 2nd, but for 1 this is the most weight I have ever held in my hands, and 2 it's a block pull.
My hands are sore af. Sooo worth it!
**For those unaware of what my Coach and husband are doing, they are only there in case I fall back or black out. They *did not* help me pull from the blocks at all**
Well! It’s been a minute ! After a little hiatus I’m jumping back into dancing because it feels GOOD! Have you ever had something in your life that you just like to do because it feels good? This is it for me. I’ve been in positions where I’ve danced for teams, danced for work and danced professionally and honestly nothing feels better than just dancing for FUN.
When I don’t care about making it perfect, when I don’t care about the technicality and when I don’t care about what people think and I’m not being judged or critiqued. I just feel like myself. ❤️ I did notice that back when I was doing it weekly I saw myself getting better and better, More polished and more comfortable in front of the camera. I’m excited to be bringing this part of my life back to share with you all. Enjoy!
