We recently switched to organic almonds from Bremner Farms in Chico for our house made almond praline, which we use to make our Almond Rocher Bonbon. You can really taste the difference in richness. We are super excited to keep adding more and more local organic farms to our list!

If you're like us, you're a beer enthusiast AND a dog enthusiast. Bring the two together and it's really all we need. @meiwahbeerroom in Isleton offers 22 beers, kombucha, and nitro coffee on tap, Walton - the Owner, who calls herself the Ambassador of Craft Beer, tries to provide a wide variety of choices for beer lovers and “beer haters.” Who's going this weekend?! It’s been quite a week, but thanks to the kind words from our lovely community and the help from some great friends we have a van full of tasty veggies ready to head to the Auburn farmer’s market this morning! We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from our mistakes (go for the caterpillar tunnel wind braces folks) and to grow into better farmer’s/individuals. Hope to see y’all at the @liveplacergrown farmer’s market this morning in @oldtownauburn from 8-noon! We will bring the sweet carrots and you bring the sweet smiles! 💕👨🌾👩🌾
Although these rain gutter planters make up the smallest growing space in our garden, they are definitely the most consistently productive feature we have.
Two are planted with strawberries, two with a mix of annual and perennial herbs, and two are currently packed full of lettuce and other “cut and come again” salad greens like arugula and spinach.
Yesterday @dailyflourish posted this picture to share more information about this space and why it’s our favorite spot in the garden this time of year. Be sure to check that out!
