Kachina (20x24”) mixed media in canvas.
One of my submission pieces for the 54th annual student exhibition at #RMCAD
I doubt it will win anything but it’s worth a try. This piece is also for sale, pm me for details. #rmcad#rmcadillustration
Some of my favorite signs from Denver’s Womxn’s March 🌻such an amazing opportunity to get together with incredible women who love other women. Lucky to have not ran into any transphobic or racist signs. Please remember at these events if you have anything else but love for all people then you should stay home. This was my first march & it was beautiful. I hope throughout the years though we can focus less on making fun of Trump’s tiny hands & focus more on the actual damage politicians are doing & how we can go about dismantling a system that oppresses womxn all over the world. 🧡🧡 #feminist#denverphotography#feminism#photographer#rmcad#rmacdphotographer
Some torso studies from my lifedrawing class yesterday, we got an hour per set of skeleton and figure and God I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to take this class! I don't know about everyone else in there but this is super fun for me!
I got my alumni ID! Not sure when I took this picture but techbar had it on file haha. But I also went to the life drawing class and it was so nice to be on campus again and to see everyone!! I definitely aim to keep going to the free life drawing classes on Wednesday’s 🙂
Tickets to our next Writer's Studio are live! We're partnering with our friends at @rmcad to bring the great poet, author, and editor Kevin Young to Denver! RMCAD will host an on-stage reading and conversation on March 19 between Kevin and local journalist Tina Griego of The Colorado Independent. The two will talk about his latest nonfiction book, BUNK, and the intersection of fact, fiction, and art. Tickets are $10 for Lighthouse members, $20 for non-members, and $5 for students, teachers, veterans, and seniors. (That money helps us continue to bring top-shelf authors to Denver as part of this series.) Head to our website (exact link in bio) for all the details. Something to keep in mind: our Adam Johnson discussion in December sold out, so make sure to grab tickets in a timely fashion! 📚 #denver#rmcad#kevinyoung#bunk#bookstagram#igbooks
First time I put a commentary with my painting. By far this is the longest I’ve spent on a painting.... the black, the darkness easily took over my gold (light). I had to have light because even through the darkest times there is a light to guide you. Life may seem hard, but there will always be that light to bring you back to the beauty of life. /

Doors open at 6pm tonight for @rmcad VASP lecture with @cecilebevans
About the lecture:
The current ubiquity of technology in our daily lives increasingly reveals that virtual is real. Starting from the relationship between humans and new technologies, Cécile B. Evans’ work reflects on the value of emotions in contemporary society by exploring forms of human subjectivity and the systems that carry them, as well as the limits of both. Lecture: Feeling For You is an ongoing, frequently updated lecture that reverse engineers the artist’s practice through a series of personal anecdotes, research, images, audience reactions, and video clips. Meandering through the last few years of Evans’ work, the talk follows a similar ‘hyperlinked’ logic used in recent projects like Hyperlinks or It Didn’t Happen or AGNES. Touching on the rise of digital technology, the disorienting feedback loops it creates within society, and the historical relationship between humans and machines, Evans questions the last few years of her own work, including projects such as Sprung A Leak, What the Heart Wants, and Amos’ World.

FYI: RMCAD’s campus has an interesting history. It was originally a Jewish center for treating tuberculosis in the early 1900s, then it became a cancer research facility in the 1950s, and finally it became Rocky Mountain of Art & Design in the early 2000s. #rmcad
Wow. I have graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Illustration. Still doesn’t feel quite real that I’m done with school.
Congrats to my whole graduating class and particularly those of the Illustration Department! It was a pleasure to be in this Grad Portfolio class- so many fun people and great work, and a wonderful teacher. Go Red Shoe Tribe!!! I want to thank my God and Savior, my amazing and wonderful wife , my great in-laws, my friends, my teachers, and my classmates. I would not have been able to get through this part of my journey without the strength, encouragement, hope, and help you have all given to me. Thank you so very very much.
Last night was magical to say the least. 💫 Thank you to everyone involved for creating this lovely show & turning me into Marilyn Monroe for the night! 💖 It was so special walking alongside so many beauty 👑 @rmcadu
