#introductionsaturday instead of #introductionfriday (because that's more my style - 4 enneagrams, amiright? 😜) As you know, my name is Alycia Lovell; I'm 26 turning 27 in February, and I've been a professional photographer for over four years now. 📸
I mainly photograph weddings and people in Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR but have and will travel worldwide. 🧳 ✈️ As a photographer, my goal is to provide you with every joyful, monumentous, tear-jerking, significant, and romantic moment in your life to cherish for forever. My heart wildly beats with the need to give you every memory that you could ever desire. I want to tell your story so that you can pass it on for many generations to come.
I am honored to be able to do what I love and blessed to have been given the gift of friendship with so many people, that only photography can provide. I want to get to know you and your story because it's important and worthy to be told.
Heading into my first wedding of 2019 this morning. As I sit here drinking a cup of coffee, prepping for the day, I think of what a sweet and beautiful job this is. I get to capture images for people as they dress up and celebrate their love, surrounded by all their favorite people. 😍
I don't see myself photographing weddings forever, but during this season of my life while I am, I'm really loving every single wedding I get to capture. Literally every single one I've ever done holds a sweet spot in my heart. I know that sounds cheesy and overly sentimental, but it really is true. Maybe that's why I chose this job. 🧡

Happy weekend to these lovebirds!! -----------------------------Shan and Kyle, I totally forgot to fill out your little wedding advice cards, so here are a couple marriage advice bits from me and David (married 16 years). Hope they come in handy :)
1. I know they say never go to bed angry, but we both think it's bull. A better advice is never start a fight late at night. Early on we had many a senseless and overtired fights that would last way longer than they needed to. We made a decision from then on that we would table things, get a good night of sleep, and start the morning with saying "I'm sorry", whether we felt we were in the wrong or not. You generally wake up with a whole different outlook and ready to see the other's point of view. That something you don't generally muster when you're exhausted.
2. Always appreciate the little things the other person does, and don't take them for granted or grow expectant or demanding of, or entitled to them. If your spouse makes a dinner for you, or has cleaned the bathroom, or unloaded the dishwasher, or fixed the car, or gotten you a car wash --- always make it a point to make them feel appreciated. :)
3. Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace university. Look it up, you might want to go through the course sometime. We did, and it changed our trajectory!! :)
4. Read a few good marriage books together that will help you find your own style, and give you some more ways to interpret each other. Men and women, we really do think differently, and surviving the first 5 years (married) really is a thing. :) 5. Let's end with a silly simple one :) --- Candles. Light them at dinner, when you watch a show together, for any reason. Ambiance is romance. :) Romance is just plain fun :) PS. Thanks to @indiaearl for her snow editing tips. Saved me tons of time on this one ☺️
Changing things up around here with my edits and approach to photography. Hopefully you like seeing my work come to life in more creative ways, starting with this. Thank you @jeffreytothesmith and @apettymusic for trusting me for this shoot. It was pure magic. Looking forward to more sessions like this one ❤️ Also cannot wait for your wedding, I know it’s gonna be incredible! 😍🙌🏼
Happy Friday, friends!
Wild night over here with my cup of honey lavender tea, winding down early for a change! This weekend will mostly be filled with some proper 2019 goal setting (in my amazing @passionplanner, which I live by - more to come on this), finishing my tax prep, soccer for the babes, a baby shower, and gearing up for the @artofweddingspdx Venue Crawl next weekend!
What’ve you got going on? A little work? A little play?
I thought I’d hop on and say hey! 🤟🏽 this is me living my best life chilling by the Sacramento River! What are you up to?
