Vasari in his work ‘Lives of Artist’ tells a story of a friendly argument between a sculptor and painter over which is the superior medium. Sculpture because it’s 3-dimensional, painting because it’s full color and increased story telling ability. The painter made this last argument based on the fact the painting can deal with time. And of course, this competition lead to a flurry of creative action by these artist (some of which can be seen still in the Uffizi Gallery). I remembered that story as I contemplate the above piece, because I’m attempting to portray a time element as the subject is exploring his creative process. I’m imagining here a musician exploring, developing, his music, both in his head and at a piano, finding an inspired path through his creative efforts…

Frozen Crown are back! And just like the valkyrie on the front cover, this time they're bigger, heavier and battle-worn, just a year after our first release.
"Crowned In Frost" is richer, more articulated and deeper than its predecessor, while still keeping the in-your-face attitude, the memorable refrains and the love for speed shown in "The Fallen King".
The album cover was once again painted by mastermind and songwriter Federico Mondelli, expressing through a beefed up version of the band's mascot the evolution of Frozen Crown's music, closer like never before to the roots of the purest old school Heavy Metal.
"Crowned In Frost" will be released on March 22, 2019 on Scarlet Records in EU and US, and in the same month, on Marquee / AVALON in Japan.
Many news are still to come, so be prepared! We can't wait to see you on the road!

The temple was probably built around the I century BC to host the tomb of King Arata III, commissioned by his brother and successor Areta IV. The structure was carved in red sandstone rock, soft stone and easy to work. Architectural style, consisting of two overlapping orders and is highly influenced by Hellenistic influence. The first order resumes the facade of an hexastyle temple with the capitals realized following the Corinthian model. The second order, on the other hand, consists of two decorated lateral foreparts that house, in the middle recess, a tholos with a conical roof supporting a decorative urn. The name with which the monument is known derives from the legend that tells of a treasure hidden in the carved urn at the top of the second order, which was hurt by the shootings
in an attempt to break it. 🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹 ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀🏛 Share our Wonderful Heritage 🏛
