I started my morning off checking in on my goals with a friend. I opened a book I"m reading, you2 by Price Pritchett, and randomly chose a caption. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Quantum leaps come when you seek the elegant solution. S
o look for an approach characterized by simplicity, precision, efficiency, neatness. It won't be as complex or time-consuming as your present struggle. Overall, it will be less demanding of your energies and emotions. And it probably will not be familiar to you. You2 calls for a fresh perspective, a deft move, a path of less resistance. There is a way you can do more with less.'
We ended the call with me saying - I have a big goal of pitching different businesses and the whole process seems really hard. I committed to setting an hour a day to grinding through and hung up. Then fast forward thirty minutes later I figured out a way to delegate the task to my very capable assistant resulting in finding five hours in my week. In 2018 I felt really proud of the way I found more success with less effort - I'm reworking my brain to stop thinking I need to grind everything out alone to achieve goals in a more enjoyable manner. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How about you - do you think major growth needs to be really hard?
