Today I felt so frustrated before my meditation. I’m not sure why, but every little thing was just making me angry. My jaw was tight and I was being short with Kyle. Sometimes I get this way and want to pick a fight so I have something to be mad about. I really don’t enjoy being in that state of mind though!
Today instead of picking a fight, I chose to use some cbd oil and meditate. And this was the theme of my meditation. It was a bit eerie how well it matched up with what I needed... Anyone else have days when they are tense or frustrated and don’t know why? Or am I the only one? All I know is that my mind relaxed as soon as I finished this meditation. So I will be back for more later!

Everything changes & othing stays the same. To change is to be alive.
To think of this concept of #change being inevitable, I find myself seamlessly feeling very overwhelmed. Especially as I reflect on the transient nature of my existence, my children, the trajectory of our species as well as the planet from which we borrow from future generations. But, the direct experience of this truth, is what ultimately sets me free!
For to feel overwhelmed is a state of mind, not a set of circumstances.
The idea of something & the experience of something, are two different things.
I often find myself getting caught up in the challenge of letting go of the past - but it does not mean that I am forgetting about the past - I can always go back to it in my mind. But, I can do so by no longer being attached to it, & thereby create a better sense of ease.
In a similar way, I frequently find myself caught up & attached to some future goal, objective or result. But, in letting go of that, as I also continue on that path & direction, I find a sense of freedom & ease & create the conditions to simultaneously enjoy the journey.
When I let go of the past, or the future, & rest my mind here, in the present moment, I can find that sense of ease.
My #choice of actions, habits & how I react to life in the moment, are the visible manifestation of my moods, thoughts, feelings & beliefs. *
Therefore, it my mindset where sustainable health begins & ends. *
So, if the goal is health, wellness & vitality, then sustainable healthy change requires a change in mindset, as my mindset predicates my behavior.
When mind, body & spirit are in alignment, healthy change is inevitable, seamless & joyful. When the reason for change is imbued with something meaningful, it is sustainable. When I know my why, all things are possible. Change is sustainable when I shift the reason from a fear of dying, or preventing something bad from happening, to a joy of living. When love is the center of the change, it subsequently brings pleasure & joy & I then realize that I gain so much more than what I give up - all of this, makes change sustainable. @deanornishmd#undoit 🌱

This week we’re talking about 6 ways we can beat the winter blues. Today’s tip is a little bit harder. It’s going to take a bit more thought & effort. But before we dive in, let’s recap:
#1: Wear Clothes: This is the number one contributor to my mental health!
#2: Eat the Rainbow: Eating lots of fruits & veggies makes me feel soooo good! A healthy meal makes me feel like I’m on top of my game!
#3: Look Forward: Having things to look forward to is a bright spot to our days! Have gratitude and joy in what lies ahead.
Today’s topic: Have a Winter Hobby.
I’m convinced that one reason people dislike winter is that they don’t know what to do with themselves. 🤷🏽♀️ I have found tremendous joy in having winter only hobbies. I’ll tell you about mine, which may or may not appeal to you. Just remember to Do You! ▫️
1. One of my winter hobbies is snow skiing. I’ve been doing this since the age of 5, so it’s pretty ingrained in my lifestyle. Now my island-born & raised husband snow skis (I keep telling him he should represent Samoa in the Winter Olympics! ⛷🇼🇸 His story of the first time he skied is hilarious & we were reminiscing about it the other day. I’ll just say it involves some foreign-language swear words and some ski pole throwing. 😂) Anyway, all four of my children ski too. We look forward to winter because we get to do something that is impossible the rest of the year. ▫️
2. Another winter hobby of mine is snowshoeing, hiking,& winter walking. This is something anyone can do! You can rent snowshoes from a ski shop, hit a hiking trail or pay for a trail pass at a resort, & start walking. And if you’d rather start even more simply, start with a winter hike or walk. The earth sounds much different in the winter and it feels amazing to breathe some (cold) fresh air & to listen to winter. Hint: winter is beautifully quiet. ▫️
3. My final winter hobby is making photo books. I use @snapfishus to make family albums each year & winter is the perfect time to hunker down & tackle this project.
What are your winter hobbies OR what hobbies do you think you might enjoy? You’re not locked into anything here so dream away!

For me, having a healthy mind is one of my main whys.
Although I am now at goal, I do still struggle occasionally with having a healthy mind and tell myself I am a failure when things don't go as planned. I often overthink everything and struggle to relax.
Why do we do this to ourselves when we would not say this to a friend who was trying to overcome hurdles? Why are we so hard on ourselves all of the time?
I now believe the key to true happiness is to have a positive healthy mindset, everything else will then fall into place.
My coach @wwcoachjones has taught me everything I know, given me lots of new ideas and has helped me so much on my journey. WW has given me so much positivity back and I love being part of the ww family.
My Why is to overcome all negative thoughts and replace them with positive vibes, to grow and develop into the confident, assertive, happy, care free person I used to be 10 years ago!
What’s your why? 🤔 Everyone has a reason to get healthy- what’s yours?
Remembering your why when you’re struggling will give you the drive & focus to succeed & reach those goals!
Whether you’re clinging onto the mountain side during a difficult time or carrying on the climb, the determination can be rebooted when you take some time to reflect on how far you’ve come & why you’re choosing to build those healthy habits!
My why is so I can feel confident & enjoy wearing my bikini on my holiday in April! With a tangible timeline, I am more focused on what I want to achieve whilst keeping in mind that a healthy loss is 1-2lbs a week ☀️ #mywhy#ww#wwuk#weareww#wellnessthatworks#healthyhabits#mindset#headspace#wellness#wellbeing
Water Is Life. "Finally."
"The pleasure in traveling consists of the obstacles, the fatigue, and even the danger. What charm can anyone find in an excursion when he is always sure of reaching his destination, of having horses ready waiting for him, a soft bed, an excellent supper, and all the eases and comfort he can enjoy in his own home!
One of the great misfortunes of modern life is the want of any sudden surprise, and the absence of all adventure.
Everything is so well arranged."

is the silence louder?
🇺🇸👇🏻VEM 3.4!
Conselhos de uma trintona! 😂 .
Quero chegar aos 3.5 incorporando a Yoga no meu dia a dia. E vocês, o que querem fazer antes do próximo aniversário?

Mediation is like an anchor for your mind ✨The word meditation can sound quite off putting at times of you're someone who is brand new to the practice. Sometimes it's a great thing just to think of it as breathing and finding a moment of peace. New words can make something sound like an extravagant practice that's hard to do! Not true, meditation is for EVERYONE and there is no one fits all. Find your way. Meditation has really helped me to calm my thoughts and my emotions in times I've needed it the most. Our breathing really can change everything. It's the bridge between our mind and body after all. If in doubt... Inhale, exhale and let go 💭✨
