Switching things up this evening and taking on some cleaning. I’m using this reclaimed maple flooring to make a table top for my next build and while I love it’s aesthetic, it is caked with decades of filth and grease. I’m scrubbing off the sides of each board and then running a razor down ‘em to cut off any residual glue so when it comes time to glue things up I’ll have tight joints. In other news, I can’t feel my feet and our first significant snowfall is on it’s way. I’m hoping it’s magical. 👍🏼
#tbt to my antics while sanding this white oak door built for a log cabin in North Carolina. Doors are a ton of fun to build due to their complexity. I'm looking forward to doing another one in the future....hopefully made from walnut 😍😍

Cutting splines for the walnut tray. I’m calling them “splines” but I guess they are more like “caps” - to strengthen the mitered corners.
Peice of wall art done for a Facebook client! This piece will be delivered tomorrow, glued across the entirety to ensure rigidity, the piece then gets 2 braces across the back, in which I also drill 2 holes, I then undercut the holes with a dovetailing bit on my router. This gives the piece a sturdy place to be hung. ..
