Freckles or no freckles? ☀️ (swipe swipe) im in love with both 🙆🏼♀️🧡 @oiiikrisiiio for my inspiration #lv_illustration
| Got colours in your meals?|
I don’t like to “numberfy” my food. For example: counting calories, measuring portion sizes, calculating the nitty gritty macro or micronutrients in my meals. I find these procedures very excessive, take a toll on my brain when I already have many other things to worry about, and the worse part is that it gives me STRESS and GUILT whenever I exceed how much “I think” I should eat. ———————————————
What I like to do instead, is to focus on the colours in a dish. Appreciate the beauty of food like a piece of art. Yes, colourful vegetables each give you different antioxidants and nutrients that help you fight against cancer, heart problems, diabetes, yaddi-yadda, you can google the rest yourself. But let’s try to focus on the visual of your meal. Red ❤️is a colour of love and passion, it adds a layer of warmth to plain green salad. Orange 🧡 reminds me of the autumn leaves, it turns any dish into a hearty meal. Yellow 💛 symbolizes joy and the sun, it’ll make your food shine brighter than anyone else’s. Green 💚 is the colour of nature and is often associate to health and peace. It is a perfect base colour to balance everything out. Blue💙 and purple 💜are the colours of elegance, they give a subtle but gentle touch to the dish. Last but not least, black 🖤and white ☁️, they are the most humble players in a dish where they sacrifice themselves to help others stand out. What is your favorite combinations of ingredients of different colours ?!
Absolutely love rust and the rainbow of colours that occur from oxidized metal.
Do you see the colours I see?
Blues, purples, reds, green, browns, gold, and white. Rust is such a gorgeous material.
This lightswitch cover was picked up at Tommy Thompson park which is a man-made island spit that narrowly stretches out into the lake on Toronto's East end. Great place to hike because it's a gorgeous home to a variety of birds that are never seen in the city due to it's seclusion. A really remarkable place and my favorite park here because of it's unique landscape. The beaches are full of eroded bricks, rubble, and decades old metal scrap that protrudes from the ground at random places. If you have read some of my other posts you would understand why I enjoy such a place...nature eroding built materials...my thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In this drawing I used white acrylic paint coupled with a white charcoal pencil to create the highlights.
I'm improving with each practice, learning, and through learning I'll teach those that follow my practicing.
That's important to me.
Primo 59-W charcoal pencil, Chinamarker, Copic 0.03 black liner, Derwent procolour pencils, Graphite powder, Windsor & Newton white acrylic paint. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Colour palette for Spring (almost coming!). ☀️ Today I’ve started preparing the new collection that will be released during February.
My studio has now a lovely and refreshing floral scent that will endure for the next weeks 💐 (one of the nice things about soap making!) 🙌
Fifty shades of blue 💎
Got a sweet weather window to tour up Mount Yotei. Making a last minute decision to get up at 3am to climb up and ski down a volcano turned out to be one of the best ones yet! How could it not be with views like this?
