Lizi and the girls are big fans of the Nashville TV show, so my surprise Christmas treat was a meet and greet with @charles_esten who plays Deacon in the show. We were lucky enough to catch him at the Grand Ole Opry in July on the same day that England lost the World Cup semi final, so it brought back a magical holiday memory that blew away the disappointment.
Lovely guy and an enormously talented singer/song writer. His cover of Bruce’s ‘Thunder Road’ was absolutely incredible.
Great night and some happy girls.
Not quite the #10yearchallenge but it is great to see the evolution of our food from back in 2012 to now. Also the next step in our journey will be starting soon guys... #keepingitfresh

Something a little different 🌼 LOVE this colour combo 😍
Yesterday morning, Birmingham (Alabama) Police Sergeant Wytasha Carter answered a fellow officer’s call for backup. The plainclothes officer observed a male suspect trying to break into vehicles outside of a nightclub and when Sergeant Carter arrived on location, they stopped him for investigation. It was during a pat down that the suspect pulled out a gun and shot both officers before they even had a chance to react. Sergeant Carter suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The other officer still remains in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds. Sergeant Wytasha Carter, affectionately known as “Wyt” by his friends and family, is remembered for being an outstanding supervisor who took pride in commending his officers when they’d go above and beyond. He was someone who you could count on and was always there to lend a helping hand. Wytasha started his law enforcement career nearly 17 years ago and has been with the Birmingham Police Department since 2007. In 2016, he was honored for rushing into a building that collapsed and saving the lives of two children who were trapped in the rubble. In addition to being a Sergeant in the BPD’s North Precinct, Wytasha coached children’s basketball and baseball for the Police Athletic League, something he was very passionate about. He was 44 years old.
