Spoiler alert ... this post contains a massive pity party.
Today was supposed to be a positive day, I was supposed to be able to put a positive spin on things. But it didn't work out for me. I'm feeling so bitter and angry and alone today. I feel like I am sucking at motherhood, friendships, work; you know, life in general. Seeing other people's joys and accomplishments is not inspiring me today, it's making me feel resentful and jealous. Even my usual escape is feeling a bit miserable for me right now since I'm stuck inside a gym for the foreseeable future while the local trails and sidewalks are too icy to use and I can't seem to get outside during daylight hours. I loathe going to the gym and I despise the treadmill.
I know I am supposed to think happy thoughts, but I am so tired of fighting it today. I think somedays you just gotta say ok, I feel like a piece of shit, and accept that is how you feel today. Honor the bad along with the good. I'm not putting this out there to get sympathy or to elicit comments to boost my ego. I am putting this here so that one day I can look back and remember that I made it through bad days before and that there are always better ones ahead. And that even on the shitty ones I can muster a smile.

Today was a long day... I didn’t get much sleep with a fussy baby. However after dinner I dug down deep and remembered my BIGGEST why. This, my sweet little Leighpea. I need to learn balance so she knows it’s a GREAT thing to take care of yourself too. That no mother is just a mother, we are WOMEN, we are STRONG, we are SMART and we are DESERVING of life’s greatest joys and a little “ME” time. YES, this is also to gain some confidence back and to feel good about MYSELF because to be an example you have to LIVE! Live your BEST life and SHOW them how to. Now what? ✨ Today wasn’t great and honestly it impacted my mindset and happiness today and although I try so hard not to let work related things get to me they did today and that’s okay BUT NOW WHAT? Maybe you had a bad day, now what? Maybe someone was rude to you, now what? Maybe you didn’t workout and ate horribly, NOW WHAT? Dwelling on the past and giving more time and energy focusing on things that you can’t control because they already happened is a huge waste of time! You can only control how you react to things and focus on the “now what?” So that’s my challenge to you! Try to focus on the “now what?”

Welcome to our little re-treat. This year we’re making the conscious effort to try and dine in more. We don’t tend to eat or drink out all that regularly as #thesimplelife works best for us, but when we do we enjoy the moment. We find dining in reduces waste and plastic and also enhances the mindful experience.
Mindfulness extends to all areas of life (including eating and drinking) and dining out for us is a time to really enjoy the moment in its entirety. Smells, tastes, sights and sounds.
You also never know who you might get to talk to. Last night we had the pleasure of talking to our neighbouring diners while sharing our love for the same Italian restaurant. Connecting, sharing stories, listening and caring. Isn’t that the essence of life?

In addition to your 2 set mornings of teaching hours, you may do account visits on other mornings ( flexible schedule ), quality audits, identify training and support needs and provide relief cover for other instructors.
On offer is a retainer and fuel card, full program training, uniform, kids yoga kit and the opportunity to become part of a team of dedicated professionals connecting kids with wellbeing.

I really enjoy things like yoga, meditation, reading and listening to chill music while writing down short and long term goals. I think it is super important to enjoy time by yourself. welcome to this week’s edition of: what’s in maaaah fridge!! i’ve been feeling inspired to clean my refrigerator out every week after grocery shopping because i think it inspires a healthier and happier life. PLUS it keeps me from wasting food because i always know what i have and what needs to be finished.
i was on a total veggie kick when i went to the grocery store this weekend. i stick to the “dirty dozen” rule when it comes to buying organic, because i can’t afford 100% organic. i’ve been working super hard to “shop naked” (HI! @abbysfoodcourt) and get rid of allll dat plastic.
i prepped an UNREAL stuffed pepper turkey soup that utilized most of these veggies. i made grapefruit juice with all the citrus! i’ve been having celery juice every single morning & i feel great! less bloated and soo hydrated - the hype is real?! i’ve also started eating a @perfectbar every day in between clients, they’re truly my favorite protein bar and have a low glycemic index so they keep me full for so long!
