It’s fun when you get to steal your son’s girlfriend and enjoy an afternoon at the national art festival in bonita springs and then see this massive Banyan tree. So blessed that my children are choosing partners whom I in love with too! More pictures soon 🙂

During the show, I talked to a couple of great artists that I’ll be sharing here with you. One of them was Lourdes, who happened to be my neighbor for this Beaux show. She has been doing art shows for about 20 yrs! From the moment I met her a couple of years ago, she was super nice, friendly and eager to help me. Lourdes answered questions regarding being an artist and art shows.
She creates beautiful sand art, everything from scratch! Her husband helps her build, sand and paint her unique frames. She then cuts the canvases to size and begins sculpting them with sand, creating a 3D effect. Once she smooths out the faces of her illustrations, she finishes them with acrylic.
Her illustrations sell like hot cakes and her paintings are highly sought after.
She also has an amazing personal story to tell and I hope that she gets a chance to publish her book someday. It is truly a story of love, struggle and strength.
