Tonight's moon was absolutely stunning and won't be around again for another 18 years! (Yes I did watermark my photo, only because a lot of people are posting similar ones and I want credit for standing outside and freezing my butt off to get these shots.) #superbloodwolfmoon#bloodmoon
Flashback to grad school when I was working on my doctorate. Literally, all I did was workout, study, and write. Come to think of it, that's all I still do 😂 I'm such a nerd.
My goal in grad school was to read 5 scientific papers a day (very difficult papers to read because they pack a lot into each sentence to use limited word count as efficiency as possible).
My other goal was to publish 10 papers in scientific journals by the time I started applying to jobs and to present 50 papers at scientific conferences. Mission accomplished.
My workout goals were to experiment with as many training styles as possible so I could learn what worked best for me. 💪🏻
I think that's a great idea for anyone serious about training. There is almost information overload when it comes to fitness these days. It's easy to get trapped in the paralysis by analysis. Find what works for you and log it religiously. Try everything (within reason lol). I set up my training in those days like a scientific experiment. I used crossover design to determine which variables produced the best results for me.
Everyday Abs!! 💢
A different approach to core training with Twists, Lower Body movement & Bracing. Just remember your abs isn't the only thing that your core is functionally. We know our bodies are capable for greater movements & exercises. -
👉 First Exercise; Cable Twists - commonly seen & if done correctly very effective for strengthening your obliques. -
👉 Second Exercise; Plank w/Side to Side - the normal plank sometimes doesn't cut it. Try adding some active movement for your lower body to help engage the core even more & battle with yourself to stay up!! -
👉 Stick around & watch the last clip for a different approach to Bracing & Stabilisation/Balance. The aim of the exercise is to place one foot infront of the other while engaging the core. If you sway to one side your core needs to be engaged enough to keep you upright & ready for the next step 🕺

Don’t let negative thoughts overcome your mind⚡️ We will always get down on ourselves and that’s okay, but what is not okay, is staying down and staying lazy. Be persistent in chasing what you truly desire and don’t make excuses, that’s how you will win💯 Let me know what motivates you down below👇🏽

Serious note, Finished up a crazy weekend with the @gymshark fam in Sydney. Meeting so many of the people that follow us and being able to speak to them personally is one of the craziest feelings. Whilst it can get super tiring at times standing and talking for hours, it’s 100% worth it when you see the impact that people and we as a team can make, especially when you’re just used to seeing numbers and names on a screen. I say it every time but once again it was a surreal experience and I was stumped at the level of support and all round positivity. Cannot wait for the next event coming to a city near you 😂 .
