Love thyself. Now how does one love oneself?
In which way is this shown?
Are we aware of ourself? What does it even mean? Love..what is love? Perhaps it is a total sum of the universal unity of energy. Peace, kindness, rejoice, all of which we share. Without relying on reciprocation of another. Which funnily enough because of this, there's an automatic reciprocation because that person feels your energy. Now depending of self aware , energy and experience , this could lead to instant attraction or the opposite. This is also true with ourselves , are we aware of us? If so then how do we care or not care of ourselves? Because that in itself reflects whether or not one loves thyself.

The past few days have been incredibly sad or as my little people say, disheartening. On Saturday, I received upsetting news that my friend, colleague and mentor had passed away.
Julie, was an incredible teacher, friend and support person for when the going got tough in my first few years of teaching in Melbourne. Undoubtedly, she helped me through some pretty sticky situations. Her words of wisdom and encouragement echoed throughout my teaching life.
When faced with the decision to move to Hong Kong or not, Julie piped up and said, “Think of the shopping, think of the adventures, think of the challenges but most of all don’t think at all just do and don’t worry i’ll come and visit!” I loved it when Julie and Andy visited me throughout my time in Hong Kong our laughs, our cups of Chinese tea, our adventures and yes the shopping!
My heart hurts for a woman gone before her time, a wonderful mentor and a wonderful soul. I am so very grateful for the time I have spent with her.
So, how do you feel your big emotions? Grief, sadness and loss? Emotions which can swallow you whole and consume every little bit of your essence. What I have learnt is to feel your emotions - whole heartedly. Yes, sometimes it isn’t pretty but I feel them as the arise, feel them without judgement, feel the heaviness, feel the pain, feel the suffering, feel the love and loss.
I let it all out, I shout, I cry, I stomp in mud, I walk, I talk, I draw and I paint. This is exactly what I did on Sunday. Red eyes, completely saturated in the cold, I stompped in the mud, walked through the forest with my sister. Talking about Julie, talking about memeories and just walking in silence with the trees and company.
My heart felt lighter, and I ddint’t feel so very far away. Allow yourself the space to feel, feel every emotion and feel the that you can always just ask for a hug or for help.
Big love Julie, rest in peace and until we shop again. A beautiful reminder how precious this life truly is. ♥️
